The first Windsurf Clinic in Cooperation with Fanatic, North-Sails, ION, Dwarf8 and Sail-Fast El Yaque and so the kick off Event for the 2008 Tour has just finished at the Caribbean Beach of El Yaque at the Island of Margarita. Actually in the beginning it did not look so Caribbean as expected. Huge Low Pressure systems covered the Island in Clowds and Rain but at least provided El Yaque also with enough wind for the first Steps of the Clinic. After some Theory, Video and Low wind units, the wind came right for the exercises on the water and most of the Students threw themselves straight into Loop Rotations, Volcans, Spocks and leant their Bodies into some nicely carved Jibes. Sometimes the theory right at the start of the Clinic seems to help. Already after three days it was about time to celebrate the first full Rotations and planning Jibes. Right time for a Mexican Barbecue and Samba Show. It´s still not really clear if it has been the Spicy Mexican Food or the rhythm of the Samba Show what made everybody fly into more Moves with an ease.
In the end another really happy group has left the Caribbean with some more new Tricks in their bags to show off on the next windy day at their Local Beaches.
The Fanatic Skates 97 and 107 and North Dukes 5,4 and 5,9 were the Toys for the first two days, just to be changed to the small Freewaves and Ice 4,2 to 5,0 in the last four days.
