Freestylecamp Costa Calma - Fuerteventura 2008

For the second time the Fanatic Funcenter at the Costa Calma on the Canary Island of Fuerteventura organised a Freestylecamp with Yoli de Brendt and Tom Brendt as Trainer. 25 Participants, Instructors of the Funcenter same as clients, came to learn from waterstarts over Jibes and Jibe variations to Flakas, Grubbies and Ponch. The days started at ten o´clock in the morning and finished when the sun already hit the horizon. From the first day on all Students in the morning and afternoon groups showed great motivation and interest to learn new Moves and improve their actual skills. The first two days the Spot provided us with nice winds for the 5,0 down to 4,0 Sails. Already at day one the first big improvements were made and big smiles seen at the Beach. Theory parts with all about Windsurfing, Freestyle Basics, Equipment and Trim, showed and explained with the latest North Sails and Fanatic Equipment and a lot of different exercises followed the Action of the first days and luckily everything could be trained afterwards on the water. Goal of the Event was to leave no questions about the Gear and Moves behind and so it was not such a bad thing that the wind disappeared sometimes for a couple of hours, time which was spent at the simulators and on Longboards to improve the Sail and Boardfeeling. The fact that the perfect Flatwater Spot Matas Blancas, right around the corner of the Costa Calma, didn´t work like it usually does, didn´t stopp the students to rotate and slide their first Grubbies, Spock 540´s, Flakas and Ponch by the end of the week. Seven sunny and windy days, with the best Sessions at the Costa Calma with really constant wind and nice Watersurface, surrounded by really nice and funny people, yes, we will be back next year for Freestyle Camp number three at the Fanatic Fun Center. >>>The Galery <<<
