Punetas, Flakas, Spock Combinations, Shakas, Ponches, Grubbies and Eslider... a normal men Freestyle Heat... No that´s what´s women Level by now and the women got their chance in the Double Elimination as kick off for day number two at Sotavento. Especially Daida Moreno and Laure Treboux were ready for the run up in the Loosersround after their early eliminations yesterday. Both won their first Heat but than had to face each other. Daida Moreno used all her experience and with clew first Backloops and Loops, Spocks and Goiter she not only advanced against Treboux, also her sister Iballa and Junko Nagoshi were left behind, before Moreno had to face Yoli de Brendt for revenge. Daida started good into her Heat with a big Loop, Spock and Flaka. But Yoli fought back and with super fast Punetas and Clew first Punetas, perfect Spocks, Shove It and Shaka and a Flaka she left no doubts about who would be the winner of that Heat. De Brendt advanced into the Final against Quita. This time Quita had a great Heat, with Punetas, Funnel, Switch Chachoo, Ponch, one hand Airflaka and Spocks she won the Final. Also in the men Double elimination some Big Names were waiting for their chance to go up the Ladder. First of all Taty Frans impressed with unbelievable radical Double Spocks, Switch Ponches, Toads and Burners, before Ricardo Campello hit the water. He started his day with a massive Backloop, followed by an even bigger Pushloop Table Top and a Double Loop. He was on fire and advanced also over Kiri Thode, Normen Günzlein, Tonky Frans and than in a very close Heat over Gollito Estredo. So he faced Marcilio Browne in the Final and also the Brasilian first didn´t manage to stopp Campello. So the Final had to be sailed twice. In the second Final Browne came back superstrong and with a huge Airchachoo, Airflaka Cana Brava, one hand Burner and Toad he won the Final in a clear decision. Right after the Double Elimination number one the next Single Elimination was started, with no surprises in the first two rounds, when the day was called off....
