Day 2 - Nuking winds at Pozo Izquierdo keep the Windmills working and could blow the Slalom Racers around teh Course today, for me time to sit with a nice Cappuccino in the Viento Bar and watch the Action through the panoramic Windows, while the Judges had to leave their nice warm Container, put their Wetsuits on and spend the whole day on the Boat. Exactly at 12 o´clock the first Race started and straight with the first Surprise, Dunkerbeck didn´t manage to get into the Final at his Home spot. Still unbeatable, french Antoine Albeau, world´s fastest Sailor. It seemed easy how he got into the Final and won it too, and still nobody really knows what´s the big diffence between him and the rest. Between the Semifinal and the Final a long break had to be taken. The Judge Boat started sinking and had to be fixed, which took a little longer than expected. So with Announcements for all Sailors every 15 minutes it became a long long day for the Riders until at around five in the afternoon the Final could start and know it was on te Spectators to show some patience. Three times the Loosersfinal had to be cancelled because of Sailors starting over early. Only six men managed to stay in and compete in this Heat. The Final instead started perfectly and Albeau won in front of Pritchard. After only a short break, the second Race of the day was started and again the crowds at the Beach expected another Break after the second Judge Boat started drifting with a broken engine through Pozo´s Waves. But this could be fixed quickly. The Race continued but teh wind started dropping and the Sailors had to use bigger Sails in every Heat. This time the Final became more exciting than the first one. Really close Albeau, Dunkerbeck, Maynard and Buzianis crossed the finishing line. Again it was Albeau who won, Dunkerbeck in second, Maynard third and Buzianis fourth. That was the day. Skippersmeeting for the next day was announcend for ten o´clock with Wavesailing priority. We´ll see if the Waves play game tomorrow, if not the Freestyle Ladies might get their Chance.
