Day 4 - A day packed with tons of Action und grey skies this Monday. The wind kept on hauling and the women got their chance for the Loosersround of their Freestyle Elimination. This time with the 3,4 and 3,7 sails... so still rough and tough for the ladies, but already in the first Heats radical Spocks, Flakas and Loops could be witnessed by the small crowd at the Beach. At nine thirty in the morning not too many people managed to gte to the Beach. But swiss Laure Treboux did after her mega crash yesterday and the following stay in a gran canarian hospital. And she defended her fourth place against Iballa Moreno before she took her chance and beat Nagoshi for the third Place. In her following Heat she sailed more nervous and seemed a little over motivated and so lost against powerful sailing Daida Moreno. Once again the Final was Moreno vs Quita. Though Moreno started strong into the final, Quita responded even stronger. With Puneta variations, superfast Flakas and double Flakas and Funnels. Daida tried to safe herself by almost landing a double forward loop. But not enough to win over Quita. Right after the lady Freestyle a spectacular Slalom course was set and in a full fleet race all Slalom Racers started with two super long legs, to than get into four really small legs and close jibes. Three guys managed to stay out of the field with their top speed. Albeau, Volwater and Pritchard, which also was the result of this race. Dunkerbeck struggled hard and crossed the line way behind. Unluckily one of the Race Boats broke again and the only possibilty to have some more action during this day was the Junior Waveriding. Philip Köster one the Elimination, with huge tweaked Pushloops, mega Backloops and a planning double Forward Loop ! But also the other KIds around Alessio Strillich, who became second, sailing with their 35 litre Boards and 2,2 sails ripped it up with big Backloops, stalled Forward Loops and sick Waveridings.. The future of waveriding seems to be secured..
